Interplay was started in 1994, with the combination of Wyoming Park High School and Hudsonville High School. For the first couple of years, Interplay consisted solely of people from those two high schools, but as time went on, additional schools were added into the mix. Interplay is now comprised of members who come from a wide variety of high schools and colleges in the Grand Rapids area as well as across Michigan.

Interplay is proud of the following accomplishments:

• Interplay Open 2009 W.G.I. Finalist and PROMOTED to Independent World Class for 2010!!
• 2008 WGI Independent A Silver Medalist

• Interplay A 2009 Ferndale and MidWest Power Regional Finalists!
• 2008 WGI Independent A Regional Champs: Ferndale, Dayton and Midwest Power Regional
• Interplay A was a 2007 WGI Semi-Finalist, the MCGC IA Class Silver Medalist, and Finalists at both the Ferndale and Chesterton 2007 WGI Regionals.
• 2002 WGI Regional Champs: Indianapolis, Midwest & Mideast
• 2003, 2004, 2005 WGI Regional Champs: Midwest & Mideast
• WGI Independent A Finalist 1996-1999, 2008
• WGI Independent Open Finalist 2000-2003, 2004 (4th Place), 2009 (6th Place)
• Promoted to WGI Independent World 2006... and again for 2010!
• Addition of Interplay A in 2007 and return in 2009!
